About Us – Syroto Bioprinters

Syroto Bioprinters was founded in December, 2017 in Irvine, CA. Founded by a team of five engineers attending the University of California, Irvine, who banded together for a year long senior design project assembling a fully functioning 3D bioprinter. We were able to get a working printer with basic functionality after just a few months, but we were just getting started. We kept improving our printer, began coming up with business ideas, and got excited about the project sitting in front of us, not just for resume builders, but as a company. Syroto Bioprinters was formed. As a company, we wanted to help solve the insane prices required of researchers to develop medicine essential to the well being of society.
